The Register of Exercise Professionals is an UK scheme for fitness instructors and trainers. It recognises industry-based qualifications and also provides insurance for public liability and requires that members follow a code of conduct for the industry of practice.

This is achieved by working in collaboration with the sector to understand and understand the requirements of the profession as well as the barriers that hinder the ability of the profession to provide.

It is important to note, however, that REPs cannot guarantee the employment of fitness professionals or insurance coverage. This is due to the fact that REPs is not a governing body, rather an industry-based association that is essentially voluntary to join. Internationally recognized certification bodies, such as ACSM, NSCA ISSA NASM and ACE are not associated with REPs. They will never offer insurance or employment for their fitness professionals.

REPs is committed to keeping their members up-to-date of the constantly changing trends in the fitness industry. REPs employs a REPs point system that requires members to earn a certain number of REPs each year to keep their REPs status.
