Cylinder locks are found on uPVC and other types of doors. Euro Cylinders are available with up to six pins. Internal and external doors require different levels of security.

The choice of cylinder you choose is vital. It is based on the type of use your doors and handles receive. For example, external doors require an extra secure cylinder, while internal doors can be secured using the standard cylinder. This is a growing method of attack on cylinders where the break line inside the lock is targeted using a special tool to break off the front of the cylinder to allow the door to open. This is a lot faster and more straightforward than opening multipoint locks and leaves no evidence of a burglary, which can hinder an insurance claim.

Spring Cassette

This spring cassette is found within the base plate of the door handle. It is a spring-loaded solution to return your multipoint lock handles to their resting position after use. The spring cassettes were made to be used with a spring multipoint lock. They won't work with unsprung handles and you'll need to cut a hole in your backplate in order for them to fit.
